GET YOUR FLU SHOT NOW!

How to avoid the flu: some tips

1. Take time to get a flu shot. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine as soon as possible.

2. Take everyday preventative actions to stop the spread of germs. Wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid close contact with sick people.

3. Take flu antiviral drugs if your doctor prescribes them. Antiviral drugs are prescription medicines that can make illness milder and shorten the time you are sick. They may prevent serious flu complications.
