Dana earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She continued her studies at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and as a Child Health Associate. Dana has traveled to places such as Africa and India to deliver health care to the poor. She is currently pursuing a diploma in International Medicine where she is learning about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of poverty, how to effectively promote health in third-world countries using cross-cultural skills and health leadership, and how to work in cooperation with communities, having very limited resources, to design and lead effective health systems. Dana lives in Highlands Ranch with her husband Michael, and their two Golden Retrievers, Cody and Baxter. They have one son, Joshua, who is currently pursuing his college degree.
